How to get started building a UX terminology practice
A free webinar with terminologist Barbara Inge Karsch, hosted by Andy Welfle
If you work with language at a large (or even small!) product company, you know how important it is to create clear language and designations around key concepts, say for particular functionality or a specific project. Managing these designations, more specifically terms and names, and their concepts helps you become more efficient when you localize, market, and design with these concepts.
But how do you get started creating and governing that language? How do you define terms in a way where everyone understands and agrees? And how do you align your stakeholders so they use these terms in a unified way?
Barbara Inge Karsch has some answers. She’s a terminology consultant and built a practice at large, complex companies like Microsoft and Oracle. Facilitated by Andy Welfle, a content designer who is perpetually flummoxed by terminology management, Barbara will share an overview of best practices for taking your terminology management from spreadsheet to product, and answer any questions you might have.
